Before Hugging Face, Sasha worked at Mila, the Quebec AI Institute. She co-founded Climate Change AI and CodeCarbon, and co-created the AI Energy Score, contributing to initiatives that connect AI research with climate action and make its environmental impacts measurable. Her work has been featured in Nature, The Economist, MIT Technology Review, NPR, BBC, and Le Monde. Recognized among TIME’s 100 most influential people in AI and on Business Insider’s 2024 and 2025 AI Power Lists, she advances public understanding of AI through research, public engagement, event organizing, and mentoring under-represented groups in the field. Sasha holds a PhD in AI from Université du Québec à Montréal and brings over a decade of research and industry experience at the intersection of AI, ethics, and sustainability.

Before Salesforce, Boris led decarbonization strategy for some of the world’s largest technology companies at Stok and spearheaded the Pentagon’s sustainable construction program as an environmental engineer with the U.S. Department of Defense. At Salesforce, he co-created the AI Energy Score, contributing to a standardized approach to measuring AI model energy use. Recognized by The Independent’s Climate 100 and Business Insider’s AI Trailblazers, he advances practical approaches to AI sustainability through keynote speaking and advising early-stage climate-tech ventures. Boris holds a degree in Environmental Engineering from the University of Maryland and brings over a decade of experience across engineering, consulting, and enterprise sustainability.
