SAIG’s Dr. Sasha Luccioni selected as a Mila Associate Industry Member

MONTREAL — October 20, 2026

SAIG is proud to announce that our Chief Scientific Officer, Dr Sasha Luccioni, has been selected as an Associate Industry Member at Mila – Quebec Artificial Intelligence Institute.

Mila and SAIG partnership

A Mila alumna and former postdoctoral researcher at the institute, Sasha builds on a longstanding connection to its research community. This appointment opens further opportunities to collaborate with Mila researchers, support emerging AI talent, and advance research at the intersection of AI and environmental sustainability.

The appointment also builds on SAIG’s partnership with Mila, announced in May 2026, which connects our applied research and advisory work with Mila’s scientific expertise to advance environmentally responsible AI.

We look forward to deepening these connections and contributing to Montréal’s AI research community.

About Sustainable AI Group (SAIG)

Sustainable AI Group (SAIG) is a research and advisory firm helping enterprises measure, compare, and act on the environmental impacts of AI. The firm was founded by two pioneers in the field: Dr. Sasha Luccioni, a renowned AI researcher with a decade of experience building field-defining benchmarks, and Boris Gamazaychikov, a strategist specializing in AI enterprise implementation. Together, they help organizations make AI sustainable in practice by grounding deployment decisions in empirical evidence. SAIG supports organizations adopting AI by conducting rigorous studies on fundamental environmental questions, developing evidence-based procurement guidelines, and engineering practical tools — such as the AI Energy Score — that bridge the gap between climate science and real-world corporate decision-making.
