These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern access to and use of the CLEER dashboard and associated data, figures and visualizations (the "Dashboard"), published by Sustainable AI Group ("SAIG," "we," "us"). By accessing or using the Dashboard, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Dashboard.
These Terms apply in addition to, and do not replace, the license terms attached to specific content:

Where these Terms and a license conflict on a matter the license actually governs (e.g., attribution mechanics for reuse of a figure), the license controls. Where a license is silent (e.g., automated access, service availability, acceptable use of the Dashboard as a tool), these Terms control.
1. What the Dashboard is
The Dashboard presents estimated per-model energy and carbon figures produced under the CLEER methodology. These figures are estimates, not measurements. No party outside the model providers themselves can directly measure the energy consumed by a closed-model inference request; CLEER produces a defensible estimate from benchmarking, architectural clustering and documented conversion factors. The Dashboard has not been through third-party assurance or audit. Nothing on the Dashboard should be read as a claim of measured or audited accuracy.
The Dashboard is updated over time as the underlying methodology, factor tables and model coverage change. Figures may change between visits without notice.
2. No professional advice
The Dashboard is provided for general informational purposes. It is not a substitute for a corporate GHG inventory prepared under an assurance-ready methodology, and it does not constitute environmental, legal, financial, or compliance advice. If you need figures for regulatory disclosure, financial reporting, or a claim requiring assurance, engage SAIG or another qualified provider directly.
3. Commercial use
The data and figures on the Dashboard are licensed CC BY-NC 4.0: non-commercial use only, with attribution. For the avoidance of doubt, "commercial use" includes, without limitation:
incorporating Dashboard figures into paid consulting, advisory, or assurance deliverables prepared for a client or third party;
using Dashboard figures to support a commercial product, service, report, or software offering, whether or not the figures are resold directly;
any use by a consultancy, advisory firm, or service provider in the course of paid client work.
This applies regardless of how the figures were obtained — through the Dashboard interface, an exported file, an API (if and when offered), or automated access. Viewing a number on a webpage does not exempt its subsequent commercial use from the license.
If you are uncertain whether an intended use qualifies as commercial, contact us before proceeding (see Section 9).
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
scrape, crawl, or use automated means to extract Dashboard data in bulk, except through any API or export mechanism SAIG explicitly publishes for that purpose;
reproduce, mirror, or redistribute a substantial portion of the dataset as a standalone resource;
use Dashboard data to train, benchmark, or validate a competing energy-estimation methodology or dataset without written permission;
misrepresent Dashboard figures as measured, audited, or endorsed by the model providers they describe;
remove or obscure attribution, licensing notices, or the estimated-vs-measured labeling in the interface when reproducing a figure.
5. Intellectual property
"CLEER," "SAIG," and associated logos are marks of Sustainable AI Group and are not covered by the CC BY 4.0, CC BY-NC 4.0, or Apache-2.0 licenses above. Use of SAIG names or marks to imply endorsement, partnership, or certification requires separate written permission.
6. No warranty; limitation of liability
The Dashboard is provided "as is," without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including accuracy, completeness, or fitness for a particular purpose. To the maximum extent permitted by law, SAIG is not liable for any damages arising from reliance on Dashboard figures or from Dashboard unavailability.
7. Availability and changes
SAIG may modify, suspend, or discontinue the Dashboard, in whole or in part, at any time without notice. We may update these Terms as the Dashboard evolves; changes take effect when posted. Continued use after a change constitutes acceptance.
